We’ve begun our new sermon series, Virtues to Value, exploring how God’s virtues can shape and transform our everyday life. A lifestyle of generosity has the power to change us even as it blesses those around us. If you want generosity to become second nature for you, meditate on these truths this week.

Generosity is Intentional

Generosity grows when we decide to give consistently, not just when it’s convenient. (2 Corinthians 9:7).

Everyone Can be Generous

We don’t wait to “have much” to give, but give even from a perceived sense of lack. (Luke 3:11)

Generosity Reflects God’s Heart

We mirror God’s nature when we give freely, just as He gave us His Son. (John 3:16)

Generosity Changes Us

Giving shifts our hearts from self-focus to Kingdom focus. (Acts 20:35)
